A citizen from Bukan, named Zakaria Tagoub, was kidnapped by government forces about two and a half months ago and is still in detention and under torture.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, 24-year-old Zakaria Tagoub, who was kidnapped by the intelligence forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps during the Bukan popular resistance, is being held in the intelligence detention center of the IRGC in Urmia.
According to knowledgeable sources, government institutions have not provided a precise answer to the numerous requests of this citizen's family to get information about his fate.
A relative of Zakaria Tagoub's family told Hengaw: "Zakaria Tagoub has been subjected to physical and mental torture in the intelligence detention center of the IRGC in Urmia."
Zakaria Tagoub was abducted by the government forces in Bukan on the evening of Saturday, January 14, 2023, and was taken to the intelligence detention center of the IRGC in Urmia. Since his arrest, he has been denied access to a lawyer.
