Mehran Hassanzadeh and Mobin Rasultab, who were detained in the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, have been sentenced to prison by the Criminal Court of Oshnavieh.
 

According to information received by the Hangaw Organization for Human Rights, branch 101 of the Oshnavieh Criminal Court recently issued a verdict, sentencing Mobin Rasultab to one year in prison for the charge of "gathering and collusion against national security." Similarly, Mehran Hassanzadeh was sentenced to nine months in prison for the same offense.
 

According to a reliable source, this sentence was officially announced to Mehran Hassanzadeh and Mobin Rasultab on Thursday, June 15, 2023.
 

Mehran Hassanzadeh and Mobin Rasultab were detained by the Iranian government authorities amidst the public demonstrations in the city of Oshnavieh on Wednesday, September 28, 2023. Following their arrest, they were transported to Urmia prison.
 

Both citizens were transferred to Oshnavieh prison in October 2022. Mehran Hassanzadeh was eventually released on the 31st of the same month upon posting bail of 200 million tomans (about $4800). Similarly, Mobin Rasultab was released on November 6, 2022, after posting a bail of 500 million tomans (about $12000).
