Anisa Fanaian and Shabnam Tebianian, two Baha'is hailing from the city of Semnan, were recently apprehended by the government forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and taken to an unknown place.
 
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Anisa Fanaian and Shabnam Tebianian, two Baha'i women, were arrested by government forces in Semnan City. The arrests took place at their respective residences on Monday, August 21, 2023.
 
According to a reliable source, while taking these two Baha'i people into custody, the authorities conducted thorough searches of their houses and confiscated their personal belongings, including their books, computers, and mobile phones.
 
The charges and accusations against Anisa Fanaian and Shabnam Tebianian, as well as their current location and conditions of these Baha'is, remain undisclosed.
 
Notably, Anisa Fanaian had previously faced the court and tribunal of the Islamic Republic of Iran and received a prison sentence.
