Four family members and relatives of the three arrested Baloch brothers, namely Hamidreza Kohkan, A. Narwii, Ali Akbar Kohkan, and 16-year-old Haris Kharout, have been arrested by Iranian security forces and taken to an unknown location.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in one of the streets of Zahedan, 20-year-old Ali Akbar Kohkan and his cousins Benyamin, Idris, and Elias Kohkan, three Baloch individuals, were arrested along with 16-year-old Haris Kharout and an uncle of these two arrested individuals by the forces of the Intelligence Department.
According to the Baloch Activists Campaign, on the same day, Intelligence Department forces stormed the family home of Hamidreza Kohkan, the father of these two arrested individuals, and arrested him along with his wife named "A. Narwii."
According to informed sources, the arrest of these four people was carried out without presenting any judicial papers and by resorting to violence. Mrs. "A. Narwii" was arrested while she is the mother of an infant child.
These four individuals were charged on Wednesday after being transferred to the Nouri judicial complex in Zahedan. Tafihim and Haris Kharout were transferred to the Correctional and Education Center, A. Narwii to the women's ward of Zahedan Central Prison, and each of Hamidreza Kohkan and his nephew named Ali Akbar Kohkan to an unknown location.
Elias and Benyamin Kohkan were arrested on January 3, 2024, and Idris Kohkan was arrested on September 10, 2023, by the forces of the Intelligence Department and are still incarcerated in Zahedan Central Prison.
