Late last week, the death sentences of two Kurdish prisoners from Kermanshah (Kermashan), identified as Mehdi Ahmadi and Saeed Gholami, were carried out in the city’s central prison. Both individuals had been previously convicted of premeditated murder and sentenced to death.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the death sentences of Mehdi Ahmadi, 33, and Saeed Gholami, 27—both unmarried and residents of Kermanshah—were carried out at dawn on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in Kermanshah Central Prison (Dizelabad Prison).
Hengaw has learned that the two prisoners were transferred from Ward 7 of Dizelabad Prison to solitary confinement earlier that week, on Monday, in preparation for their execution.
A source familiar with the case stated that both individuals had been arrested three years ago in separate cases on charges of premeditated murder and were subsequently sentenced to death by the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
To date, news of the execution of these individuals has not been announced by state media, particularly outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
