Gilan, Iran: Prisoner Commits Suicide at Talesh Central Prison

Saeed Kohan Lamar, an inmate at Talesh Central Prison in Gilan Province, took his own life by ingesting pills, resulting in his death.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights on Sunday, March 31, 2024, Saeed Kohan Lamar, a prisoner, ended his life by suicide at Talesh Central Prison.

The deceased had previously been arrested and sentenced to imprisonment for charges related to public offenses.

In a related incident, earlier in March, another prisoner named Soheil Haghbin also passed away at Lakan Prison in Rasht due to an overdose of medication.
