Three Kurdish men Detained by Iranian Security Forces

Mohsen Ahmadi Aghdam, Rasoul Yousefi Azar, and Hasan Yousefi Azar, three Kurds from Mahabad, West Azerbaijan (Urmia) Province, have been detained by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, 34-year-old Mohsen Ahmadi Aghdam, 21-year-old Rasoul Yousefi Azar, and 39-year-old Hasan Yousefi Azar, residents of the village "Bafrowan" in Mahabad's suburb, were apprehended by intelligence forces.

Hengaw’s sources indicate that the arrests took place in the individuals' family homes, and they were then transferred to the intelligence detention center in Urmia.
