Three Prisoners Executed in Tabriz Central Prison

Three prisoners named Mehdi Habibi, Saeed Ranjdoust, and Saber Aminabadi, previously were convicted of "premeditated murder" or drug-related crimes, were executed in Tabriz Central Prison.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Thursday, May 2, 2024, the execution orders for Mehdi Habibi, 40, Saeed Ranjdoust, 53, a father of three, and Saber Aminabadi were carried out.

Among them, Saeed Ranjdoust and Saber Aminabadi  were convicted of similar charges of "premeditated murder," while Mehdi Habibi wascdetained and sentenced to death for drug-related offenses.

As of the time of this report, the news of the executions has not been announced in state media, particularly those associated with the judiciary.
