Two Kurdish Prisoners Executed in Iranian Prisons

The death sentences of two Kurdish prisoners, Asghar Hajizadeh and Kaveh Bashangeh, who were previously sentenced to death for drug-related crimes, were carried out in Salmas Central Prison.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday morning, May 18, 2024, the death sentences of two prisoners, Asghar Hajizadeh, 46, from Salmas and Kaveh Bashangeh from Mahabad, were carried out in the central prison of Salmas.
According to Hengaw's informed sources from Salmas prison, these two prisoners were arrested five years ago for drug-related crimes and later sentenced to death.
The news of the execution of these two prisoners has not been announced in the government media, especially the media close to the judiciary, until the time of writing this news.
