Another Person Arrested Over Social Media Post on Iranian President's Death

Ali Reyhani Kachvar, an individual hailing from Tabriz, East Azerbaijan province, has been arrested by security forces due to social media activities regarding the death of Islamic Republic of Iran president Ebrahim Raisi.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights on May 22, 2024, Ali Reyhani Kachvar, a resident of Tabriz, was arrested by security forces.

As per informed sources, the arrest of this individual, the owner of the "Sonmez Azerbaijan" factory, was due to the publication of a post regarding the death of Ebrahim Raisi.

Following his arrest, Reyhani was transferred to the central prison of Tabriz by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
