Kurdish teacher Rashid Hesami arrested in Qorveh

Iranian security forces arrested Rashid Hesami, a Kurdish teacher from Qorveh, using violence and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, security forces raided Hesami’s home in Qorveh’s Ba’ath neighborhood on Monday, September 14, 2026, and arrested him.

Informed sources said the forces searched his home and arrested him without presenting a warrant.

His family’s efforts to obtain information about his condition and whereabouts have been unsuccessful. Iranian authorities have not disclosed the reason for his arrest, any charges against him, or where he is being held.
