Death Sentence of Three Prisoners Carried Out in Shiraz Prison, Iran

Last weekend, the death sentences of at least three prisoners named Mahmoud Qaedi, Hassan Ne'matollahi, and Mohammad Saeed Zohrabi, who had previously been sentenced to death for murder and drug-related crimes, were carried out in Shiraz Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, June 1, 2024, the execution of two prisoners named Hassan Ne'matollahi and Mohammad Saeed Zohrabi, was carried out in Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad Prison).

These two prisoners were arrested two years ago for carrying 80 kilograms of drugs and were sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the Iran Human Rights Organization, simultaneously, the death sentence of a 30-year-old prisoner identified as Mahmoud Qaedi was carried out. He had been arrested and sentenced to death three years ago for premeditated murder.

As of the time of this report, the execution of these three prisoners has not been announced in state media, particularly those close to the judiciary.
