Karaj: Christian convert, Farrokh Kakai arrested and his case status pending

Farrokh Kakai, a Christian convert from Kermanshah and resident of Karaj, remains in custody 19 days after his arrest.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights Organization for Human Right, Farrokh Kakai, a 54-year-old father of two, was arrested by Iranian Intelligence forces in Karaj on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

An informed source reported that during Farrokh Kakai's arrest, Iranian Intelligence forces searched his home and confiscated several personal belongings, including his phone and computer.

Since his arrest, Farrokh Kakaei has had only two brief phone calls with his family. During these calls, he indicated that he was unaware of his current location.
