18-Year-Old Girl Killed by Direct Gunfire from Iranian Security Forces

An 18-year-old girl named Razieh Rahmani, from the village of Gouyjeh in the Kakavand area of Nurabad County, Lorestan Province, was killed in her family home by direct gunfire from the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on June 20, 2024, security forces from the Cheshmeh Sefid station raided the family residence of Razieh Rahmani in Gouyjeh Nurabad village. During this raid, Razieh Rahmani was directly shot.

A trusted source indicated that the security forces raided the home of Shokrreza Rahmani under the pretext of searching for drugs. Due to the family's resistance, a verbal altercation and confrontation ensued, during which an officer shot Razieh Rahmani in the head with a handgun, resulting in her immediate death.

Notably, Razieh Rahmani's burial ceremony was held on June 22 at the Golzar Shohada-e-Lak Hersin cemetery in Kermanshah Province.
