Femicide in North Khorasan: Omolbanin Qolizadeh killed by husband

Omolbanin Qolizadeh, a 47-year-old woman from a village in the Maneh and Samalqan region of North Khorasan Province, was brutally murdered by her husband using a bladed weapon. The motive behind the killing has been cited as "domestic disputes."
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the incident occurred on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Qolizadeh was fatally stabbed multiple times by her 53-year-old husband.
Sources familiar with the case report that the perpetrator turned himself in at the local police station shortly after the crime and confessed to the murder. He claimed ongoing family conflicts as the motive.
It is important to note that Qolizadeh had previously faced repeated threats from her husband, particularly after she sought to separate from him.
