Prisoner Executed in Front of His Child in Qazvin, Iran

The execution of a prisoner identified as Nategh Hosseini, who had been sentenced to death for "premeditated murder," was carried out in Qazvin Central Prison in front of his young child.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution of this individual took place on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

As per the Iranian Human Rights Organization (IHR), Nategh was arrested three years ago on charges of premeditated murder and subsequently sentenced to death.

It is noteworthy that the victim's family had requested the presence of Nategh's 7-year-old son during the execution. Hoping that the presence of the child might lead to clemency, Nategah's family brought the child to the execution. Ultimately, Hosseini was executed in front of his young son.

As of the time of this report, the news of this execution has not been announced by government media, particularly those that are close to the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
