Arrest of Mojgan Salmanzadeh, a Baha'i Researcher, by Iranian Security Forces

A Baha'i adherent named Mojgan Salmanzadeh, a researcher in the field of Physiological Psychology studies, was arrested 10 days ago by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the city of Maku.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, July 4, 2024, Mojgan Salmanzadeh, a resident of Tehran, was arrested by security forces after a two-week stay in the city of Maku.

This Baha'i adherent informed her relatives through a phone call that she has been transferred to the general ward of Maku Central Prison.

So far, no details are available regarding the reasons for her arrest or the charges against Mojgan Salmanzadeh, and her temporary release has been denied.
