Death Sentence of Two Prisoners Carried Out in Qazvin Central Prison

The death sentences of two Azerbaijani-Turkish prisoners, named Hamed Naderi and Ali Moharramkhani, were carried out in Qazvin Central Prison. These two prisoners had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, July 25, 2024, the death sentences of 32-year-old Hamed Naderi and 37-year-old Ali Moharramkhani, father of two children, both from Abhar, Zanjan Province, were carried out in Qazvin Central Prison.

Informed sources stated that these two prisoners were arrested two years ago in a joint case on drug-related charges and were sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

To date, the news of the execution of these two prisoners has not been announced in the Iranian state media, especially media affiliated with the judiciary.
