Two Prisoners Executed in Khorramabad Central Prison

The death sentence of two Bakhtiari Lur prisoners, identified as Malek Ashtar and Ahmadreza Toni, both from Dezful, who had previously been sentenced to death by the Iranian judicial system for drug-related charges, was carried out in Khorramabad Central Prison.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, August 3, 2024, the death sentences of two prisoners, Malek Ashtar, 35, and Ahmadreza Toni, 47, both from Dezful, were carried out in Khorramabad Central Prison (Parsilon Prison).

According to informed sources, these two prisoners, who are also relatives, were arrested four years ago on a joint case related to drug charges and were sentenced to death by the Iranian judicial system.

As of the time of this report, the news of the execution of these two prisoners has not been announced in the Iranian state media, especially those associated with the judiciary.
