Death Sentence of a Prisoner Carried Out in Isfahan

The death sentence of a prisoner named Kazem Fatahi from Kashan, who had previously been arrested and sentenced to death for premeditated murder, was carried out in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, the death sentence of Kazem Fatahi, 35, from Kashan, was executed in the central prison of Isfahan, known as Dastgerd Prison.

According to Hengaw sources, Kazem Fatahi was arrested three years ago on charges of premeditated murder following a mass brawl and was sentenced to qisas (retribution) by the Iranian judiciary.

The execution of this prisoner's death sentence has not been announced by the Iranian state media, particularly the judiciary-affiliated media, at the time of this report's publication.
