Death Sentences of Three Prisoners Carried Out at Bandar Abbas Central Prison

The death sentence of Aminollah Narouei, a Baloch prisoner; Hamzeh Geravand, a Kurdish prisoner; and another prisoner named Azad Abdollahi was carried out at Bandar Abbas Central Prison. These prisoners had previously been sentenced to death for drug-related and premeditated murder charges.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the death sentence of Aminollah Narouei, 42, from Zabol, Hamzeh Geravand, 28, from Kuhdasht, and Azad Abdollahi, 45, residing in Bandar Abbas, was carried out at Bandar Abbas Central Prison.

According to Haal Vsh, Aminollah Narouei had been arrested three years ago, and Hamzeh Geravand had been arrested two years ago, both sentenced to death on drug-related charges.

Additionally, Azad Abdollahi had been arrested nineteen years ago in a joint case with another defendant for "premeditated murder" and had been sentenced to death.

As of the time of this report, the news of these executions has not been announced in Iranian state media, particularly those close to the judiciary.
