Kurdish Activist Manijeh Khoshnoud Arrested in Bukan: Her Whereabouts Remain Unknown

More than a week has passed since the arrest of Kurdish activist Manijeh Khoshnoud from Bukan, and there is still no information available regarding her whereabouts.
According to a report from the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, 56-year-old Manijeh Khoshnoud was arrested by Iranian intelligence forces in Bukan eight days ago, and her location remains unknown. During her arrest, security forces searched her house and confiscated her mobile phone.
A source close to the Khoshnoud family stated that the family's efforts to find out about Manijeh Khoshnoud's fate have so far been unsuccessful, leading to growing concern.
It is worth mentioning that Manijeh Khoshnoud was arrested at 4 PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2024, during a raid by Iranian intelligence forces on her family home in the city of Bukan.
