Two Kurdish and Baloch Prisoners Executed in Sabzevar Prison

The death sentences of two Kurdish and Baloch prisoners were carried out in Sabzevar Central Prison, Razavi Khorasan province. They were previously sentenced to death for drug-related crimes.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions took place at dawn on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. The prisoners were identified as 31-year-old Reza Zardkohi and 24-year-old Musa Al-Reza Ebrahimi.

Musa Al-Reza Ebrahimi, a Baloch man from Sabzevar, and Reza Zardkohi, a Kurdish man from Zardkohi village in Davarzan, Khorasan Razavi, and the father of a 4-year-old child, were arrested three years ago on drug-related charges and subsequently sentenced to death.

As of the time of writing, the execution of these two prisoners has not been reported in government media, particularly in outlets closely associated with the judiciary.
