The death sentence of a prisoner named Elias Rezaei, who was previously sentenced to death for drug-related charges, was carried out in Gorgan Central Prison.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the death sentence of 40-year-old Elias Rezaei was carried out on the morning of Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in the central prison of Gorgan.

According to informed sources, this prisoner was arrested two years ago on drug-related charges and was sentenced to death by the Iranian Judiciary.

To date, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in the Iranian state media, especially the media affiliated with the judiciary.
