Report: Two Sisters Murdered Under the Pretext of “Honor” in Khorasan Razavi Province

A man has killed his wife and sister-in-law in Chenaran city of Khorasan Razavi province. The killer's motive for committing the crime is declared under the title of what is called "preservation of honor".

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, In Chenaran City, two women, aged 48 and 50, were fatally struck multiple times on the head with a stick.

According to the Khorasan newspaper, a man identified as Hasan-M called the Radkan police station on Tuesday, July 30, from a village near Chenaran, claiming that his wife had threatened him. Upon arriving at the scene, the police instructed him to leave the home. He returned the following morning, killed his wife and sister, and subsequently fled to Mashhad.

This person is now under arrest and has stated that his motive for committing the crime was skepticism towards his wife and brother-in-law.
