Death Sentence of a Prisoner Carried Out in Kahnuj Prison

The death sentence of a Baloch prisoner named Parviz Mirbalochzehi, who had previously been sentenced to death for drug-related charges, was carried out in the central prison of Kahnuj in Kerman Province.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, September 1, 2024, the death sentence of a 46-year-old Baloch prisoner identified as Parviz Mirbalochzehi (Narouei), from Zahedan, was carried out in the central prison of Kahnuj. 

The Haalvsh news agency, which covers news from Balochistan, reported that this prisoner was arrested three years ago on drug-related charges and was sentenced to death by the Iranian Judiciary. On Friday, he was transferred to solitary confinement and had his final meeting with his family yesterday.

To date, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in Iranian state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
