Death Sentence of Prisoner Carried Out in Kerman Prison, Iran

The execution of Milad Ekhlaspour, a prisoner previously sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder,” has been carried out in Kerman Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Milad Ekhlaspour was executed at dawn on Thursday, September 26, 2024, in Kerman Central Prison.

Ekhlaspour was arrested 10 years ago on charges of premeditated murder and subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As of the time of this report, state media outlets, particularly those close to the judiciary, have not yet officially announced the execution.
