Iran Arrests Baha’i Adherent Mahboob Habibi in Shiraz

A Baha’i adherent residing in Shiraz, named Mahboob Habibi, was arrested by the security forces and transferred to the detention center of the Iranian Intelligence Department in this city, known as Block 100. His wife, Negar Misaghian, had also been arrested in earlier in September 2024.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, September 28, 2024, Mahboob Habibi was arrested by security forces without any judicial warrant, and in front of his two-year-old child, and was transferred to the Block 100 detention center in Shiraz.

According to informed sources, the family’s efforts to inquire about his fate have so far yielded no results. His wife, Negar Misaghian, has also been in detention since September 18.

As of the time of this report’s publication, no precise information is available regarding the reasons for the arrest, the charges brought against him, or the fate of this individual.
