The Death Sentence of a Baluch Prisoner Carried Out in Saravan Prison

The death sentence of a Baluch prisoner from Saravan, identified as Rashid Sepahi, who had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges, was carried out in the central prison of this city.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, the death sentence of a 33-year-old prisoner named Rashid Sepahi from Bakhshan, Saravan County, Sistan and Baluchistan Province, was carried out in Saravan Central Prison.

Rashid Sepahi was arrested four years ago on drug-related charges and was sentenced to death by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Saravan. This prisoner had his last visit with his family the previous day.

To date, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in Iranian state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
