Death sentence of Prisoner carried out in Iran

The death sentence of Reza Mirzabeigi, a prisoner from Torbat-e Heydarieh in Razavi Khorasan Province, was carried out in the central prison of the city.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Sunday, October 13, 2024, the execution of Reza Mirzabeigi, a 30-year-old resident of the village of Bidvey near Torbat-e Heydarieh, took place in the city’s central prison.
Sources close to the prisoner’s family stated that he was arrested three years ago for the “premeditated murder” of Amir Hossein Zangouyi, motivated by a family honor issue, and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As of the time of this report, the execution has not been announced by government-affiliated media, particularly those linked to the judiciary.
