Death sentence of Prisoner carried out in Malayer Central Prison, Iran

The death sentence of Mohammad Saberi, a prisoner who had been convicted on drug-related charges by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has been carried out in Malayer Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday morning, October 19, 2024, Mohammad Saberi’s execution was carried out in Malayer Central Prison.

Sources informed Hengaw that Saberi was arrested approximately two years ago on drug-related charges and subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary.

As of the time of this report, the execution has not been publicly announced by government-affiliated media, particularly those associated with the judiciary.
