Death sentences of four prisoners carried out in Shiraz and Kahnuj

The death sentences of four prisoners, including two Balochs previously convicted of “premeditated murder” and drug-related charges, were  carried out in Shiraz Central Prison and Kahnuj Prison in Kerman Province. The identities of the Baloch prisoners have been confirmed as Mansour Rastakhiz and Yousef Ahmadi, alongside two other prominent, Alireza Jamshidi and Mohammadreza Sotudeh.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early morning of Monday, November 4, 2024, the death sentences of Alireza Jamshidi, from Shiraz, and Mohammadreza Sotudeh, from Fasa in Fars Province, were carried out in Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad).

Simultaneously, the death sentences of Yousef Ahmadi, 32, from the village of Cheraghsuz in Bashagerd County, Minab, and Mansour Rastakhiz from the Toukhour District in the same county, were implemented in the central prison of Kahnuj, Kerman Province.

Alireza Jamshidi and Mohammadreza Sotudeh had been arrested in separate cases on charges of premeditated murder and were sentenced to death by the Judiciary.

Yousef Ahmadi had been imprisoned for five years on a charge of premeditated murder, while Mansour Rastakhiz was convicted on drug-related charges and sentenced to death.

To date, the news of the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
