Kurdish father and daughter, Hossein and Maryam Rashidi, arrested by IRGC with whereabouts unknown

A Kurdish father and daughter from Maku, identified as Hossein Rashidi and Maryam Rashidi, have been arrested by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence forces for nearly two weeks, with no information on their current whereabouts.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, October 21, 2024, Hossein Rashidi, 60, and his daughter, Maryam Rashidi, 30, residents of Gamous village in Maku County, West Azerbaijan (Urmia) Province, were arrested by IRGC intelligence forces.
A knowledgeable source stated that following their detention, Hossein and Maryam Rashidi were transported to an undisclosed location, with authorities accusing them of collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party.
Despite persistent efforts by their family to determine their status, Iranian security agencies have not provided any information or explanation regarding the detainees’ condition or location.
