Kurdish man arrested by security forces in Marivan

Kavan Kasraei, a 28-year-old Kurdish man from Marivan, has been arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Kasraei, a resident of the village of "Ney" in Marivan County, was arrested on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at his workplace. The arrest was conducted without the presentation of an arrest warrant.
Sources close to the case report that Kasraei’s family has made repeated attempts to obtain information about his whereabouts and condition, but security agencies have refused to provide any details.
