Number of arrested rises to three in Saqqez

The security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have arrested two Kurdish men, Kurdish Hiwa Amini and Bahman Feyzi, in Saqqez. With these arrests, the total number of arrests in the city from the previous day has risen to three.

According to reports received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Hiwa Amini and Bahman Feyzi were arrested by the Intelligence Department in Saqqez.

Hengaw had previously reported the arrest of Rahman Rahimpour, a 37-year-old former political prisoner, by intelligence forces in Saqqez.

Following their detention, these individuals have been transferred to an undisclosed location, and efforts to obtain any information regarding their whereabouts or condition have so far been unsuccessful.

So far, there is no precise information available regarding the reasons for their arrest, or the charges against them.
