The death sentences of two prisoners, Naser Zandipour and Nader Minaeifar, both convicted on drug-related charges, have been carried out in secrecy at Yazd Central Prison. Hengaw had previously reported the execution of another prisoner at the same facility.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, Naser Zandipour, 30, and Nader Minaeifar, 28, were executed in Yazd Central Prison.
Zandipour had been in detention for approximately three years, while Minaeifar had been held for two years, both convicted on drug-related charges by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Hengaw had also reported the execution of another prisoner on the same day—Ahmad Sasouli, a 28-year-old Baloch, father of one child, and a resident of Gholamali Sasouli village near Zabol. He had been arrested for five years before being sentenced to death on similar charges.
