Nephew of Kurdish man killed in ‘Woman, Life, Freedom’ movement arrested

Pouria Ahmadi, a resident of Dehgolan and the nephew of Shadman Ahmadi, one of the victims of the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (Women, Life, Freedom) movement, has been held in detention for over ten days with no information about his whereabouts or condition.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, 26-year-old Pouria Ahmadi has been in custody for more than 10 days, yet his fate remains unknown.

Despite repeated inquiries by his family, no information has been provided regarding his condition or whereabouts.

So far, no details are available regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges brought against him.

His uncle, Shadman Ahmadi, a 33-year-old protester from Dehgolan, was arrested on December 8, 2022, during the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (Woman, Life, freedom) movement. He was tortured to death on the same day while in custody.
