Kurdish man arrested by security forces in Saqqez

A Kurdish man from Saqqez, identified as Hawre Shafei, has been arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this city and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, February 3, 2025, Hawre Shafei, a 40-year-old resident of Saqqez, was arrested by agents of the Intelligence Department.

A knowledgeable source stated that the arrest took place at his workplace, a shop located in Shahnaz Square, Saqqez.
