Kurdish cultural activist arrested by security forces in Kermanshah

Serwat Sohrabi, a Kurdish cultural activist from Javanrud and a resident of Kermanshah, has been arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic in this city since last week.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, February 7, 2025, Serwat Sohrabi, 36, was arrested by Intelligence Department forces in Kermanshah.
A reliable source stated that Serwat Sohrabi was detained in front of his spouse’s shop on one of Kermanshah’s streets and was subsequently transferred to the Intelligence Department’s detention center in the city.
The source added that the cultural activist is facing charges brought by security agencies, including “propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
