Prisoner executed in Dezful Central Prison

The death sentence of Milad Attar, a Lor prisoner from Dezful, was carried out in Dezful Central Prison, Khuzestan Province. He had been previously sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder.”
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, Milad Attar, 35, from Dezful, was executed in Dezful Central Prison.
Milad Attar had been in prison for 11 years after being arrested on charges of murdering his brother-in-law in an "honor-related" dispute. He was later sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran. During his imprisonment, he had been taken to the gallows twice before but was returned to his cell.
As of the time of this report, no state-affiliated media, particularly those close to the judiciary, have announced his execution.
