The death sentence of Kaveh Asadbeigi, who had been convicted on drug-related charges, was carried out in Zanjan Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, February 23, 2025, 39-year-old Kaveh Asadbeigi was executed in Zanjan Central Prison.

Sources familiar with the case state that Asadbeigi was arrested three years ago on drug-related charges on the Zanjan highway and was later sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

To date, his execution has not been announced by state media, particularly outlets close to the judiciary.
