Three prisoners executed and two others transferred to solitary confinement for execution in Isfahan Central Prison

The death sentences of three prisoners, identified as Ahmad Hanafi, Asghar Dehghani, and Vahid Mohibi, were carried out in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd Prison). The prisoners had been previously convicted on charges related to drug offenses and premeditated murder. Additionally, two other prisoners, Shirali Ashouri and Ali Salimi, were transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their scheduled executions.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Monday, February 24, 2025, Vahid Mohibi, a Baloch prisoner from Zahedan, was executed in Dastgerd Prison on drug-related charges.

Furthermore, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, Ahmad Hanafi, a resident of Taybad in Khorasan Razavi Province convicted of drug-related offenses, and Asghar Dehghani, a resident of Isfahan convicted of premeditated murder, were executed in the same facility.

Additionally, on February 24, two other prisoners, Shirali Ashouri and Ali Salimi, both residents of Isfahan sentenced to death for drug-related charges and premeditated murder respectively, were transferred to solitary confinement. Their executions have reportedly been scheduled for Wednesday.

As of this report, state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary, have not publicly announced the executions of these prisoners.
