Seven prisoners executed in Isfahan Central Prison

In the last few days death sentences of seven prisoners, including four Lor prisoners and one Baloch prisoner, were carried out in Isfahan Central Prison. The executed people were Hossein Goshoul, Behrouz Goshoul, Shahin Goudarzi, Asghar Dehghani, Mojtaba Khorramdel, Vahid Mohbi, and Ahmad Hanafi, all of whom had been convicted on charges of premeditated murder or drug-related offenses.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, February 20, 2025, Hossein Goshoul, 32, and his cousin Behrouz Goshoul, 35, both Bakhtiari Lors from Isfahan, were executed in Isfahan Central Prison.
Informed sources stated that six years ago, these two prisoners were arrested along with Behrouz’s brother, Farhad Goshoul, in a joint case on premeditated murder charges. While Hossein and Behrouz were executed, Hengaw has learned that Farhad Goshoul’s execution was not carried out, and he was returned to his ward.
Additionally, on Saturday, February 23, 2025, two other prisoners, Shahin Goudarzi, 40, from Borujerd, and Asghar Dehghani, 51, a Bakhtiari Lor from Isfahan, were executed on premeditated murder charges. Goudarzi had been in prison for four years, while Dehghani had been detained for five years.
On the same day, three more prisoners, Ahmad Hanafi, 37, from Taybad; Vahid Mohbi, a Baloch man from Zabol; and Mojtaba Khorramdel, 30, from Bandar Abbas, were executed on drug-related charges. Hanafi and Khorramdel had been in prison for four years, while Mohbi had been detained for six years before their executions.
As of the time of this report, state-affiliated media, particularly those linked to the judiciary, have not announced the execution of these seven prisoners.
