Hirmand: Gholam Shahriari dies from Police gunfire injuries

A Baloch man from Hirmand County, Sistan and Baluchestan, identified as Gholam Shahriari, has lost his life in the hospital after being shot by law enforcement forces.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Friday, March 7, 2025, Gholam Shahriari, 43, a father of five from "Deh Makki," a village in Hirmand County, succumbed to his injuries due to the severity of the gunshot wounds.

On Thursday, March 6, he was severely wounded when law enforcement forces indiscriminately fired at his vehicle in the vicinity of Heydarabad village, Zabol County.

Following the shooting, he was transferred under guard to Amir al-Momenin Hospital in Zabol, where he ultimately passed away a day later due to the severity of his injuries.

As of the time of this report, state institutions and officials have refrained from providing any explanation regarding the shooting and the killing of this individual.
