Four prisoners executed in Bushehr, Kashan, and Tabriz Prisons

The death sentences of four prisoners, identified as Kamran Mousavi, Saeed Karimkhani Al-Qalandis, Hossein Khalifei, and Ali-Morad Taheri, were carried out in the prisons of Kashan, Tabriz, and Bushehr. The executions of two of these prisoners were conducted in secret, without granting them a final visit with their families.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, 35-year-old Kamran Mousavi was executed in Kashan Prison, Isfahan province. He had been arrested three years ago on charges of murder over so-called “honor-related” issues and was sentenced to death by the judiciary.

Additionally, at dawn on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, the death sentences of Saeed Karimkhani Al-Qalandis, a 28-year-old Turk from Tabriz, was carried out in Tabriz Central Prison. Karimkhani Al-Qalandis had been arrested three years ago for killing four people in an “honor-related” dispute and was sentenced to death.

Furthermore, at dawn on Thursday, February 20, 2025, Hossein Khalifei, 29, and Ali-Morad Taheri, 35, were executed in Bushehr Central Prison. Khalifei had been arrested three years ago, while Taheri had been detained five years ago, both on murder charges.

Hengaw has learned that these two prisoners were executed secretly, without informing their families or granting them a final visit.

As of the time of this report, the executions of these four prisoners have not been officially announced by state media, particularly those affiliated with Iran’s judiciary.
