The death sentences of five prisoners, including two Turks and one Lor, were carried out in separate prisons across Iran. The executed individuals have been identified as Hesam Moloudi, Matin Shahbazzadeh, Enayat Samsari, Mohammad Abakhti, and Mohammad Parsa. They had been sentenced to death in separate cases on charges of murder and drug-related offenses.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, August 4, 2025, three prisoners were executed in Tabriz Central Prison. They were Hesam Moloudi, 29, and Matin Shahbazzadeh-Moghadam, 24, both Turks from Tabriz, as well as Enayat Samsari, 36, from Sari. Moloudi and Shahbazzadeh had been imprisoned for three years on murder charges, while Samsari had been detained for four years over a financial dispute that led to murder.
On Sunday, August 3, 2025, another prisoner, Mohammad Abakhti from Tehran, was executed in Karaj Central Prison. He had been sentenced to death for drug-related offenses. Hengaw previously reported the execution of six other prisoners, including three Kurds, in the same facility on that day.
Additionally, on July 22, 2025, Mohammad Parsa, a Lor prisoner from Aligudarz in Lorestan Province, was executed in the city’s central prison. Parsa had been arrested four years earlier for murder committed during a street fight and was later sentenced to death.
