Ubaid Maleki from Dezful executed in Khorramabad Central Prison

A Lor prisoner named Ubaid Maleki, a resident of Dezful in Khuzestan Province, has been executed t in Khorramabad Central Prison (Parsilon Prison). This execution raises the number of prisoners executed in this prison to two.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, March 8, 2025, the death sentence of 27-year-old Ubaid Maleki was carried out in Khorramabad Central Prison. 

He had been arrested four years ago on charges of “premeditated murder” and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of Islamic Republic of Iran.

Hengaw had previously reported the execution of another prisoner on the same day, Mohammad Javad (Afshin) Hasanvand, a 37-year-old First Lieutenant of the Law Enforcement Force from Alishtar in Selseleh County, Lorestan Province, in the same prison. Hasanvand had also been convicted of the premeditated murder of two people and sentenced to death by the judiciary.

As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been officially announced by state media, particularly outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
