Farshad Maqami killed by direct fire from Law Enforcement in Tehran

Farshad Maqami, a Lor man from Lenjan County, Isfahan Province, was shot and killed by law enforcement forces in Tehran.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Friday, March 7, 2025, 30-year-old Farshad Maqami was shot by security forces in one of Tehran’s streets.

Sources familiar with the case report that he was targeted on suspicion of carrying smuggled goods.

Such state-sanctioned shootings occur frequently in Iran, reflecting a systematic violation of the prohibition of arbitrary deprivation of life.
