Executions of Reza Abdoli and Ali Akbar Mirzaei carried out in separate prisons

The death sentences of two prisoners — Reza Abdoli, a Lor man, and Ali Akbar Mirzaei — were carried out in the central prisons of Dezful and Kerman, respectively. Both had been convicted by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran on charges of premeditated murder and drug-related offenses.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Reza Abdoli was executed in the early hours of Monday, May 26, 2025, at Dezful Central Prison in Khuzestan Province. He had been arrested on charges of premeditated murder.
On the same day, Ali Akbar Mirzaei was executed at Kerman Central Prison. He had been imprisoned for seven years on drug trafficking charges and was sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
The state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not confirmed or reported these executions.
