Two Balochs shot dead by security forces in Saravan

Two Balochs, Rahman Gomshadzahi and Khodabakhsh Mazarzahi, were killed by security forces in Saravan following direct gunfire at their moving vehicle. The incident led to a confrontation during which one security officer was also injured.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the incident occurred on Monday, May 12, 2025, when 24-year-old Rahman Gomshadzahi and 23-year-old Khodabakhsh Mazarzahi—both residents of Jihadabad village in Saravan, Sistan and Baluchestan Province—were fatally shot after security forces opened fire on their vehicle without issuing any prior warning or order to stop.

The Haalvsh News outlet reported that the two men attempted to defend themselves during the ensuing clash but were ultimately killed by gunfire.

No further details have been released regarding the circumstances of the confrontation or the location of the victims’ bodies.
